CONSULTATION: Controlled Activities Regulations level of authorisation at construction sites

24 Mar 2017

SEPA are currently consulting on “Controlled activities regulations level of authorisation at construction sites” and would welcome your input.

The consultation relates to the regulation of construction site SUDS and the proposal for an introduction of a “Pollution Prevention Plan.” This will be applied to construction site SUDS above the General Binding Rule threshold of 5km (linear) or 4 ha (area) – recently proposed by Scottish Government consultation.

The new licensing requirement and “Pollution Prevention Plan” is designed so that operators identify the risks and implement appropriate mitigation to manage surface water run-off.

The consultation can be found at:

The consultation closes at the end of March 2017.
