Innovation project funding
How can we fund you?
We have innovation funding to leverage into projects which are collaborative in nature, demonstrate clear economic potential through transformational change and where need is demonstrated.
CSIC funding support goes directly to the university partner towards their expert contribution. The remaining eligible project costs should be provided in-kind or through a cash contribution from the lead partner and other consortium partners.
Who is involved?
The projects must be led by one or more industry or public sector partner(s) who are willing to contribute cash or in-kind resource to a project. They must include at least one Scottish university or college partner in the collaboration.
CSIC prefers to fund a project alongside other innovation funding providers or private sector investment to ensure maximum leverage of our monies.

Innovate UK & Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund access
CSIC acts as an entry point in Scotland to the UK Government’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Funds, including the Transforming Construction programme. ISCF aims to strengthen UK science and business innovation and take on the biggest challenges that society and industry face today. To create better buildings and deliver the £650 billion worth of projects planned under the national infrastructure programme, the construction industry needs to become more productive, competitive and sustainable.
The Transforming Construction Challenge will invest £170 million - matched by £250 million from industry - to modernise construction processes and techniques, such as using digital design and standardised, modular components for offsite manufacture.
