The i-Con challenge fund and matchmaking platform

The i-Con challenge fund was designed to match industry challenges quickly with potential solution providers and with funding for impact-focused innovation projects. Partners committed to the sector's recovery could add to the fund.

Who it was for

• Challenge holders: anyone in the built environment with a COVID-19 problem — policy makers, public and private clients, contractors, manufacturers, federations, trade and professional bodies, specialist subcontractors and consultants.
• Solution providers: product, service and technology providers from construction or other sectors, plus universities, colleges and R&D bodies.

Challenges and solutions were brought together on an online collaboration platform, then developed into funded projects. Part of the i-Con toolkit.
